Roster stacking by raping weak teams have consequences in the end down the road.
I'm sure at those times, the good players they raped to get were paid nothing. Problem is they guys like cam never traded actively much for years which means those good players stick around and end up getting paid. A proper active contender would constantly recycle and get value back every year to ensure he doesn't run into massive cap trouble when that certain common year hits where everyone is a UFA.
This is what Steve didn't do hence why his teams always in competitive yet flexible shape
Paul, based on your team and assets and history of activity, i cannot take your opinion serious. I made a comment on how good i thought Matts team was and i never once made a comment on where my team would finish. I am not a beast of the East like Shiv said and show me where i raped teams in deals. I traded for player si felt would breakout and they did and it all hit me at the same time. If that is poor management than i guess i am guilty. You tell me how to handle raises like Boychuk, Tarasenko, Foligno in a league where the cap this year is more important than anything else?
This term roster stacking is funny. Isn't the ultimate goal in fantasy to win? Or is the ultimate goal to have fun trading assets and making pretty spreadsheets? I choose the former and since inception have the 2nd best overall record in the league. Sit down in your seat bitch

Lol, you have a 1st in 2017 and so do I. You have no first in 2016 and neither do i. Without actually doing the numbers i would also say your teams age is older than mine as well.

Did the Sharks win a cup recently? I must have missed that...

Paul's spreadsheet says he's the sharks, i'm guessing that's what Lee is referring too.

Nope. Great regular season team but can't get it done in the playoffs.

Well, i never claimed to be in contention in the East. That was Shiv. I did say i loved Matt's team. And yes, he made a statement that there is no chance i will be near him in standings, which I may or may not agree with. Fantasy always goes as planned.
I would like to trade him Khudobin though for his system if he can find me a goalie.

I would also like to see a team cut almost 20 mil in cap and still be considered in contention for a conference. I am almost there.

Its just so much easier having a system.

I made offers but Will got a better one from you. I think Im pretty set with Andersen and Gibson and in no danger of missing GP so unless they both get injured Its tough to pay a premium for a goalie who doesn't seem to have #1 upside.
No interest in the Ducks lesser prospect goalies Matthew.

I hear you. Not sure what Anh will do with those 3 goalies tbh. Will Gibson stay up? Will AK be traded?

I think Gibson starts in the AHL but if Andersen is injured I think they call up Gibson and Khudobin stays the backup. Andersen doesn't have a contract next year and Gibson does which to me seems like they still want Gibson to be their future #1

Yea, I think thats the plan with that contract. Also may be thinking about expansion and goalie protection.

Never thought about expansion but you are right that smart teams are likely already considering that impact.
