Josh slid Ehlers who is 2nd line W for the Jets to start the year, but he isn't trying to lose and in this league he can activate him whenever he wants.

also, if Sprong and virtanen are sent down can i slide them?Nick wroteCOLONwe can active someone with a sliding contract?
Yes check the rules, I believe without looking it up we can activate any players that are slid, but can not re-slide them.Nick wroteCOLONwe can active someone with a sliding contract?
So what you're saying is, i'm better off sliding them now and then if i want them, un-sliding them?Bruyns wroteCOLONYes check the rules, I believe without looking it up we can activate any players that are slid, but can not re-slide them.Nick wroteCOLONwe can active someone with a sliding contract?
To Steve's question, no I think they must slide to start the year.
If you need contract spots, which I don't think you do.The BBKL Insider wroteCOLONSo what you're saying is, i'm better off sliding them now and then if i want them, un-sliding them?Bruyns wroteCOLONYes check the rules, I believe without looking it up we can activate any players that are slid, but can not re-slide them.Nick wroteCOLONwe can active someone with a sliding contract?

- 18 and 19 years old players (i.e. not turned 20 yet) as of October 1st who have not played 10 NHL games in their career yet.
- players with 0 NHL games that get signed during the season
HOW IT WORKS
GMs can leave those players without a contract on googledoc so that their contracts do not count towards the limit (50).
Whenever a GM decides to put one of those players in the active roster (lineup or bench) he needs to add his contract on googledoc and as a result from that moment onward that player will automatically add to the total number of contracts.
Once a player is given a contract on googledoc he loses his sliding eligibility for the rest of the season.
(googledocs are locked by Mike after each week so we would have records of GMs cheating on that)
There are a lot of things that can be cheated like putting in the wrong salary, but I'd like to think people aren't that dishonest to try and gain an advantage in a free league.Mike wroteCOLONNote that I don't actually lock the google docs anymore, too much work chasing everyone down, so people can cheat this.
