I'm assuming Bob is the easy choice otherwise I'd guess Grigorenko. This expansion team would have excellent goalie choices to choose from.

That's my understanding. Any AHL or NHL games prior to this past season and they have to be protected.

Forwards: strome, Pearson, cousins, namestnikov, Cammalleri, brown (would Dickinson need to be protected)?
Defence: rielly, Niskanen, phaneuf, hamhuis (do I have to protect Slavin or Morrisey?)
Goalie: Murray

Exposed:
Forwards: Fisher, beagle, spaling, Purcell, jooris, michalek, other shit 4th liners
Defence: roszival, tinordi
Goal: Fleury

Likely knowing the value of goalies I anticipate fleury would be the target here. Otherwise Purcell or ?hamhuis or ?brown if I have to protect Dickinson or Slavin or morrisey.

For the people asking if player x needs to be protected it's pretty easy, if they played in the ahl or nhl in 14-15 then they need protection. Also maybe I don't lose Andersen if Bob, Fleury and Elliott are there.

I think they might amend that since playing a handful of AHL games after your junior year shouldn't count as a pro year, but we will see.

I'd hope they do, as contracts slide for that reason

There was a quote that Nylander would need to be protected and he played I think 37 AHL games in 14/15, so if there is a GP threshold for what constitutes as an accrued season, it will be lower than that.

Offhand maybe 10 is the magic number considering 9 can be accrued without burning a year
