I'm not sure which is worse tbh.The BBKL Insider wroteCOLONI actually told paul this.Bruyns wroteCOLONDespres puts up great stats when he plays, probably one 2nd too much, but I think Matthew will find out Zetterberg doesn't have much value in this league.
I don't think this is the best deal paul could have made, but let's be honest. He almost traded zetts + two 2nds for panik.

Re: CAR/ANA
Maybe I'm missing something but did Paul have to trade Zetty? I mean I know Iggy and Hossa are next to worthless trade wise in the league right now, but they are productive so I'm hanging on to them, why not keep productive older players until they retire and use the picks to replenish them in a few years?

Why Paul
Re: CAR/ANA
Very confusing to me. Simon Despres scares me. His head is scrambled eggs. I take back "some" of the criticism Matt.
But....If he somehow can get healthy it will turn out to be a good move for Paul. I just think Zetts would be a piece to use for the season then move at deadline for larger return. I know this league is obsessed with racing to the bottom but at least 1 or two teams need to try to win something. maybe?? i dont know...anyways.

I wanted a piece thats under 25 for a 36 yr old zetter. This is probably the best i get which is an injured 25 yr old dman who is borderline h2h monster
And i follow and believe in a certain source where it says despres isnt as bad as many indicate or believe re:concussion so
Nobody has to believe me either. Just that it really turns u you off and less and less attached to the league every time people post the garbage they do like on page 1 of thjs thread.

But wanted to
My teams not a team that can compete right now and not trading zet only depreciates his value further down the road. Biggest risk is on me and despres but im not entering this deal with the mindset despres js done hockey. Its easy to do for me thinking about what hes done healthy etc
Man using shoalzie tactic instead of calling people niggers makes me sound so intelligent.

The picks seem excessive

I agree with Kyle...probably didn't need to add picks but both are later 2nds at least.
Hank's going to get to 1000 games this year but he's still a decent offensive player because he's going to play with skilled players. He's still taking draws but for a guy his age and history with back problems, I think we'll see him shuffle between wing and center to preserve him. Also His minutes will are on the decline in the regular season as more of the younger guys on the team play a bigger role on the team. He's not nearly the volume shooter he was earlier in his career and he's not reached 20 goals in 6 years. He's a tough player to move considering he's in his decline and his cap hit is quite hefty. He's not a player I'd want to have if I'm a rebuilding team.
