Yep Chuck loves him some Wood. Strictly from a value standpoint I think Matthew won bc I don't think there is a big value gap in the 2 players, but I think Emelin is the more valuable player moving forward if that makes sense.

emelin is definitely more tradable.. but who knows matt may pull another zetterberg

This trade has worked out well so far as Green has really been going off. He is now on pace for 51 points this season, and is logging workhorse ice time 24+ toi/gm, 3.5 pptoi, 1+ shtoi/gm....those are back to his Washington days.

Except I didn't acquire Emelin for offense, I picked him up for periphs which hes doing exactly what i acured hI'm for. I acquired offense in other deals to replace Green. In fact if you take in all my deals I not only replaced all cats I lost but I improved others all while getting younger and cutting almost 2.5m in cap. Have to take in the whole cycle my friend.

So this is a win - win deal as we are both happy. The best kind of deal.

Emelin can't compare to Green offensively but Emelin kills him in defensive cats. You're thinking real life value and not BBKL value.
