mr. bruin wroteCOLONYea, just to keep it interesting..as bad as my team has played, I would have beaten the Capitals by a score of 10-6 :)
7-5 W for me if you exclude goalie stats. In other words, this matchup is going to come down to goaltending.

And you would have beat me 9-7, not 10-6...

Correct. I was switching back and forth rough counting. I still got a chance to pull out a tie in the next 5 mins against Billy. Tied with STPTS with Keslers PP goal. needed 3 BS between kesler and Getzlaf. not sure if i got it. Do we do ties in reg season or is there a tie breaker like goals? I cant remember..

Ryan Kesler had 3 BS alone, and I believe SO goals are the tiebreaker, but I'm not 100% sure.

As for our matchup, I anticipate a closer split between scoring, and likewise between goaltending. The cats I really want to focus on are hits and pims, which is why I am starting Konokpa in place of Belanger, I know I am going to lose FOW, so I need to capitalize on other categories.

Yea, good idea. I go some tough decisions too. Not sure of th severity of Whitneys injury but he only has 2 games so i may play Caron instead. Also considering benching Comrie and putting in Letestu. He has been on fire. I also got that other guy lighting it up Anthony Stewart. I have to fill my hole in defense. Sutton is so important to my team for hits, pims and BS. He is severely missed. Your right though it should be a close match. My only problem is my two goalies are facing the Washington Capitals twice. That scares me...

Im taking a gamble on starting Bourque. There is a 50/50 shot he plays. He will be making the road trip this week. Other than that, no Whitney with Caron in his place and Sutton on IR.

Well I conceded Doug Janik to you last night, don't want you losing bc you don't have enough GP...

Lol, well he has played 10 mins a game but at least he starts. Sutton is a major loss though. Either way will be good fun and good luck. Like you said it will probably come down to hits/BS/pims and a big emphasis on goal tending. Who is Miller playing this week?

Orpik is still out of the lineup for me, which is also a huge less. Ideally he returns for the second game of our match up, but I'm not very optimistic about it, he's been day to day for two weeks now...

To answer your question, Ryan Miller is facing ATL, OTT & NJ, unfortunately the latter two are back to back, meaning Patrick "shades of Toskala" Lalime might get a start.

Good luck, you'll need it ;)

Yeah...My team is nasty when it gets on a roll offensively, but it also has the tendency to go invisible for stretches.
