In other news, I thought the canucks would be dreadful for 10 years, but with elias petterson, horvat, bowser, hughes, juolevi, and demko thatcher...things may be okay in 3 years. I hope we can get the other hughes and another top d prospect in the next two drafts.

I drafted him and liked him. but have to admit when he was an add on in our deal I didn't expect him to be this good. Might be the most value I've lost in a trade with him and Hutton.

I drafted him and liked him. but have to admit when he was an add on in our deal I didn't expect him to be this good. Might be the most value I've lost in a trade with him and Hutton.

And I drafted him in adhl, so clearly I was familiar with him and liked him as well. I'm honestly not that surprised at what he is doing, but he did arrive a year earlier than I expected him to in part I'm sure to Karlsson getting traded.

Speaking of college pucks...Jack Hughes and the USNTDP beat Michigan at Yost last night. Hughes with a goal and 2 assists...his brother Quinn didn't get on the sheet. It's a bit unusual that they can knock off college teams but they did beat Notre Dame last week so I'm not quite as embarrassed. They face Minnesota tonight.

Sportnet insiders are now reporting that the leafs are open to dealing Nylander. They have speculated (with sources) both Winnipeg and Anaheim have made calls and believe one of Trouba or Josh Manson would be the asking price.

Good. Trade his lazy ass. We don't need playoff floaters like him on our team.
