Was really hoping that Pitts draft pick was going to be better. Start of the seaon it looked that way, but a nice comeback from Murray ruined thise chances.

My team was way under performing... not just Murray. Offense really improved second half of the year.

I stopped looking once Murray regained his form. Happy for your team though - I was never expecting a top pick in our trade. It would have been nice though haha.

Can't wait to see what kind of haul the 1st overall pick goes for this year.

I was going to say...it depends on who gets it.

I give Kyle full credit for sticking with his pick last year and taking Dahlin. But I wouldn't have blamed him if he traded the pick for a bunch of stuff. You either play it patiently and make your picks each year or you cash in a high pick or two for a big return and hope your return can help you ascend.

If I get 1st overall, I am certainly trading it for the biggest haul I can get.

I've liked the Patrick Kane, Marner comparisons. I think the only complaint about Hughes is whether he'll be a C or W moving forward. Not that it matters as those two have shown that they can change the game from the wing.

Kane and Marner are good comps...even throw in Gaudreau as well. In terms of the smaller centers...Domi and Point are the leading scorers right now among centers 5' 10" and under. Throw in Marchand, DeBrincat and Atkinson...lots of good offensive players that are even shorter than Hughes.

Let's name every good player under 5'11" as a comparable...lol.
