Bergeron is going to get 65+ points this year...along with near league lead in SHTOI and FOW. All i got to say...lol And draft picks are way overrated. With that said i had great discussions with Chris and in hindsight i am glad the deal fell through. So you know what i offered for Carter to compare..Scott clearly beat me out but i feel Urbom is just another stay at home defenseman that won't hold the value that a Gormley or Elliot will bring in H2H with our setup. I think Gormley will be another Jay Bouwmeester (minus last season:))

Really, I thought it was a pretty good return....Antropov isn't all that far behind Carter when all categories are added up...I think the picks and prospects makes up the difference, and help set me up nicely in the future.

I guess we'll see going forward, I thought Kyle's offer was superior...Hence the trade.

Anyways, my problem with this deal isn't so much what you got in return for Carter (although I wouldn't have taken it personally), it was what you gave up initially (Neal, Giroux, Yandle, Weiss), you put those players on your team now and you are among the top contenders, IMO.

Oh I got burned on the original deal...no argument there...It was the worst trade I've done, and learned from it..lol I tried to instantly get completive, and went about it wrong...I have made a number of trades since, where I think I have been patiently improving my whole team including my futures since....

It was a phenonomenal package, and I was very very close to accepting it.


I took a good hard look at my team, and in the end the decision to accept Scotts offer came down to the assets my team already has, and the direction I am turning my team to..In the end I could of really flipped a coin, but when I analyzed both offers over and over again, I always seem to get a extra 1st out of scotts deal...
