That's why I went with playing in an NHL game in my post in the other thread. That's the goal to get NHLers so seems like the easiest way to measure. The two measures I use for draft "success"...does the player sign an NHL contract and do they appear in a game? Stats are obviously what matters in fantasy but you want to be grade yourself on finding future pros. Having a nice prospect pool is one thing but which of those guys are going to be NHLers?
After I update our draft sheet tonight, I'll slap together a report with some of our recent drafts to show which picks "turned pro" or not. What is everyone's "hit rate" in a given draft? Which rounds produced the most pros?
