Kyuss dude, your acting as if there is a group of people acting against you.
All that needed to be done, once it was said that
you cannot have 19 skaters, was a quick
" i didn't know and the rules can be read differently", and then which skater was in fact your extra (who you want to send down). Given that Drury was/is hurt I can see what Scott would select him.
There was not a collaborative effort to spoil you week 1 matchup, a mod had to make it fair for your opponent, I'm confident it can be changed to what you would have done.
you might as well stop bringing up realism, even as a sub for non written rules.. the free agency thing only comes up once in a while as a consequence..
a) Kyuss, we've covered the free agency topic; in depth and put to rest, its not happening in the BBKL, get the fuck out of thats what you need in your fantasy league.
b)Our mission statement:
Here in the BBKL Community we operate the most in-depth and realistic fantasy hockey league that is possible without taking any of the fun out of managing a club. We encourage a fair and honest approach to managing, and make constant thrives to improve this community with each passing day.
c) Realism whenever possible is our goal, honesty is what we ask of our GM's. If you approach any questions about the rules with those ideals in mind there will be very few issues.
note: we do mandate 1 contracted player be released each off season into the waiver draft, but simply put we cannot mirror the contract & team situations that are entangled in the real life decisions, or anything resembling a realistic method of how to sign these free agents.

Kyuss,
I apologize for any of the misunderstanding that the CBA caused, it will be looked at and taken care of right away. Our team of Admins did exactly as they were suppose to, when it comes to the Drury issue. As Nick said we strive for realism whenever possible. If you have any further questions or wish to comment on what was done and how you would like it approached/fixed please send me a PM and it will be taken care of immediately.
For piece of mind the CBA will be altered slightly to say you may have 1 or 2 goalies HOWEVER you may not replace the designated goalie spot with a skater.

Just so i understand what happened...Drury was just set to inactive, correct? He wasn't actually dropped from his team to FA? Drury is hurt, correct? So it was a simple judgment call and a beneficial one, to remedy an illegal roster.

Correct. However, Kyuss is reasonably upset due to a misunderstanding he had with the way the rules were read. No fault on any parties here. If Drury plays at all this period we will look into this further if not, Kyuss will be expected to have a legal roster next period and all will be good.

it was probably meant to be a beneficial call by Scott, but what i'm arguing (aside from that missing piece in the CBA) is that Drury couldn't be the guy sent down since he was my 7th winger in the lineup, needed to meet the minimum, whereas i had an extra D (Holos, as obvious by looking at the lineup) and an extra C like Lundmark who is injured as well, along with not even having earn yet a NHL roster spot with the Preds.
As for Drury being injured, i activated him in my last lineup submittd before leaving (from

http://www.bbklhockey.com/viewtopic.php ... =60#p21581) when i learnt he was supposed to be back in the Rangers lineup during this matchup period already.

obviously that's not what i was thinking.
I was reporting a 'problem'.. what i found irritating is you dismissing it as a no-issue by:
- stating that i should have known a non written rule applying your sense of realism
- talking about baby-sitting, when actually following written rules instead of asking for help is exactly the opposite
- (still) stating that my reading of the rule was just another way of reading what was written, when instead what was written was very clear (albeit incomplete, but there was no evidence of that) and there was only one way to read it, which wasn't yours.
- ending the convo like everything was addressed, when nothing was.

just to be clear, i was not beating that horse again. I put that to rest in my mind after making my best effort to bring in free agency in the future. It was
chosen not to add FA, and i respected that decision since coming from the guys who put their efforts in managing the league, even if i disagreed and think leaves no real chance to compete for years to guys like Nighthock and Lee. I also needed to be confident free agency was never going to happen before making decisions moving forward.

no need to apologize when something was missed unintentionally, the resulting problem can be fixed and you are willing to help out with it.
I'm sending you a PM.
