09:
Malkin 77 in 67
Kesler did 75
Vinny & Zetty both did 70.

08:
Malkin led the league.. so perhaps sid was #2 with 103
Carter did 84 (Mikey did 80 in 79)
Krejci did 73
Marleau did 71 in 76

07:
sid/malkin thing again
Prospal did 71 (#2 in philly & tbl)
Briere did 72/ mikey 75 (in 73)... carter was the #2 so one of these 2 was the #3...LOL

Would it really shock you if Pavelski did it this year? playing point on that power-play makes it rather likely.

I agree that I like this alot for Shiv but I don't get it why Kareem wanted to do the deal.

Really? Its so easy to see why kareem would want to do this deal.....He addresses his needs and overall he is stronger for it. What he gave up might seem to be a loss in someones eyes but it is all relative to each team. He gave up stuff that he could easily afford to lose in order to gain what he needed. So if it is an overpayment it was well worth it.

This is going to sounds retarded but I actually see this as a win for both teams. Shiv gets value wise the best side of the deal, but kareem is now a better team. Great deal.

Shiv said 80, which is near ppg, that is the comment I disputed, not 70. Even still, you were only able to name one player who fit that bill, Evgeni Malkin, and he is a top 3 player in hockey, certainly not a second liner. The rest, for the most part are not comparable to Pavelski; Marleau, Carter, Vinny and Briere are superior offensive talents, and Zetterberg has played on the top line for the vast majority of his career. Krejci, Prospal and Kesler are the most comparable, and they have yet to repeat that feat...

Pavelski is playing a ton on the top pp, a bit shtoi, and not very much ES, with third line line mates. Until that changes I don't see him touching 70, nevermind 80.

I like this deal a lot for Kareem! I told Shiv & Kareem as much prior to the deal. I don't care what anyone says, I'd rather Backes then Pavelski every day of the week!

That is the smartest post thus far, but I don't neccasarilly agree. Perhaps it is just me, but I'll take the young PF over the young second line center everyday of the week. Both great players, but one is far harder to acquire than the other, and the rest of the deal is a clear win in my eyes.

Pathrik and Ponthus could be wild cards as well, both highly skilled swedes, that have been compared to the Sedin twins, albeit not as talented or strong defensively.

they are both 2nd line centers....but I agree I take the PF in h2h over the other guy every time.

This makes it an even bigger win in my eyes, and in regards to your second point, I not only make that decision in H2H, I also make it 10/10 times in real life.

It was a nice goal, Wolski from behind the net onto Turris's forehand in front of the net, he takes one step towards the middle (maybe only a half) and fires it home (5-hole i believe). Looks like someone's ready for the show!!!
