To be fair it was the only 1st he owned at the time of the penalty and it doesn't say on draft day or he could just trade for the worst first in the draft aka WSH 1st

I'd had to see a personal vendetta influence any decisions made for the good of this league. While some individuals don't like each other, I hope everyone keeps the leagues best interest at mind.
Let the league function in the way it was designed to, follow the rules we've written. Don't want the same shit show in the CC where they had no real power and Admins took over. I'd like to hear from Kyle on the topic to be honest as head of the CC.

If 4 of you say it its a deadlock in the CC with there being 8 members. No one member should have a stronger vote than the others. But I'm not apprised of the ongoings of the CC currently, hopefully something logical is reached without any rash decisions/comments.

I want to give Frank a couple of days to find a 1st (he already found one btw). And that 1st would be fined instead of the 1st PHI 2011 for which he gave up:

How it makes sense to fine a Dallas organization so harshly when there is a more JUST way to do so WITHIN the rules is beyond me. But don't go saying that to Mike. He loves to pull rank.

Where is this in the rule book? ... thats the point im making mike. It says no where in our CBA that states it is a time of punishment act. When i read the current CBA, i see the rule being at time of draft .. the person who committed the crime loses a 1st.

No where says who decides what pick. Why do you get to decide to take the best pick in the draft from him (that he just traded for).

Spend time reading people's comments Mike. Not only is there support for what I am saying in CC. There is support in the entire league as to why you have been so harsh to Frank. You are usually very objective but in this situation you are way off base man. Put time thinking about it. And not only that. The CC deserves to be able to do its job without you pulling rank. You cannot had down penalties by yourself.

I 100% agree shiv. This is why I quit the CC before, that and the Mash thing. I actually feel that Mike has made the proper choice as the past rulings have all been in favor of fining right away and the only time they have been allowed to find picks is when they didnt have them to start with. The rule doesn't state either way (for fining right away or on draft) so there is no point in arguing that fact. Although I agree with mikes ruling this should definatly be a CC decision. There is a reason that the CC is in place as it is meant to avoid personal vendettas and to provide and overal feeling for what the league wants. I personally think this needs to be voted on despite the fact that will then make the ruling opposite of what I think is just.

My last point is could everyone please air this in the CC thread to avoid this blowing up? People keep talking about for the good of the league but this should be kept a CC discussion for the good of the league imo lol.

I fully understand that people will oppose my point of view. That said, had I espoused the opposing, lenient point of view there would be an equal number of dissenters.

Therein lies the tragedy of any type of authority.

I have previously (after Mash was regrettably left out of the decision making process) offered to resign my post as admin. I don't *wan't* to be an admin. But I am, and as such I need to use my judgement in interpreting rules. Shiv, this was before your time (when I created BBKL), but I could have assumed dictatorial control of the league had I wanted to. I decided to create the CC with a somewhat narrow purview in mind. This has increased (which is fine) but every so often I try to rein the CC in (I usually try to be as hands-off as possible) and am crucified for it. I'm OK with this. It comes with the job. This is why Ryan (once again, before your time) quit. This is why Scott has nearly quit. It is a difficult job. Please try to empathize with me before you condemn me to that special circle of hell.

I understand that you are acting as you feel is in the best interests of the league. Please understand that I am as well.
