I'm capable of being a "buddy". I asked Paul why he wanted to make the trade, he told me, it made sense, I approved it. Maybe he lost a tiny amount of value but this trade was at least strategic and made for a reason.

We are all capable of being a buddy, it doesn't give us the right to approve a trade. Dolo was assigned bcool, what's the need to step in?

It's funny, because actual NHLers have been traded for 7th round picks and not as much fuck was given about those trades, but a late 3 round long term project defensive dman is moved for a 5th, and it's like the apocalypse all over. Again.

Lee, you weren't here last time we had a revolving door of GMs with new GM losing consecutive trades... understanding league value takes time. Additionally the trade that pushed him over the 60 man limit was the issue, thats required this tactical loss (if that's how you'd like to explain it).


Are we allowed to process trades that give one team more then 60 owned players? I was under the impression that's a stopper???

You really need to get over your hard on for everything that I post. Scott, an admin of this league, approved this trade. Dolo has been around this league for much longer than 2 week.

Scott made one very fair point. He is capable of being a "buddy" just as much as bcool. I dont believe the point of the "buddy" program is for Paul to make every trade EXACTLy like his buddy. The point is to prevent Paul from getting raped. The rest should be up to Paul's discretion to manage as GM (We have to let GMs do their thing, there isno other way). Now if Paul ends up trading all his goalies for a bag of pucks then of course the trade will not be allowed. But Scott did what Scott should have done. Gave Paul the freedom to act accordingly without violating the spirit in which the New GM section of the CBA was drafted.

Value should be of upmost concern to the buddy... as well as checking roster limits, meeting requirements and commonly made mistakes. Mistakes have been made here; FFS we've gone through this enough times !!!!

The pieces do not matter. The CBA and rules do. One deciding a prospect is "shit" is very subjective and not valid. The new GM rule was created to protect the GM and franchise. A new GM can have opinions and thoughts but the 2 week probation was created for a reason. The buddy system was actually to be used before we had the New GM RULE. I am as black and white as they come and if i sound like a fool so be it. What is the point of people putting time into making rules for the better of the league if they will be bypassed for whatever reason on a whim?
