i love how you failed to mention how you offered me Kaberle + 2nd for Goligoski first lol.

I'd like to meet the gm in this league who thinks the above offer is anything other than "overpayment by a reasonable amount for a stud d man with a sick contract with years of potential." you'll learn that as you go along in this league. but I'm glad you had a chance to vent ;). As Billy would say "Cool Story bro".
you LOL at every deal that isn't in your favour.....

there is nothing wrong with Kaberle + 2nd for Gol

There is a lot wrong with Kaberle + Lubo for Goligoski
theres so much hypocrisy in your post. i'd like to see you trade Schenn for anything less.

yes but its not just about Kaberle and Visnovsky. It's about what Goli can fetch elsewhere. And you're kidding yourself if you don't think Goli can be flipped for just as much in prospects and picks. Kaberle and Visnovsky looks like a lot but theyre both over 33. if i trade goli for kaberle + something else, Bill can easily flip Goli for more by acquiring youth and prospects from a contender.
I'd take Kaberle and Visnovsky any day of the week over Goligoski..
kaberle + visnovsky for goli is a win for the team getting the former two pieces. but it is in no way a landslide. if anything its a small overpayment. kaberle + visnovsky is equal to 9M in cap. Semin + Ryan on your team total to a similar amount. none of this is to mention age. you're way off.

Following your logic:

H.Sedin + D.Sedin for Jamie Benn.

Goli is awesome, but somehow your adding the #1 dman in points and calling it a small win.

that's a terrible analogy. a better one would be what would you move fowler for? i'm assuming you'd want MORE than visnovsky + kaberle and thats IF you even want to move him. When bill asked me first about Goli, I said I wont move him unless its an overpayment. And I would love to see you move fowler for anything less than visnovsky + kaberle + something more. until then please do not join the hypocritical boat here.

Your right in that I would not move Goli if I had him, I also would not put him on the trade block.

However Sedin & Sedin is over-payment for Benn, and is very similar in age/contract/relative production to Kabs & Lubo for Goli. Except I believe Benn will be a top top end player, and do not expect Goli to become a top top end Dman, although he showed more this year then I expected, so perhaps my thoughts there are changing as well.

Fowler isn't comparable to Goli, so we don't need to go there.

I wouldn't trade Subban for Kabs & Visnovsky but I wouldn't trade Subban for Goligoski either :)

Semin + Ryan = 12 million. I don't understand your point? Visnosvky was a better H2Her than Semin this year..

Goligoski is going to be 26 at the start of next season, he hasn't played 70 games in a season yet.

And you get a 32 year old who has put up ~50 (or more) points in the last 6 season and a 34 year old that just put up 68pts, and has put up huge offensive numbers before with a 58pt in 69 games and 67pts in 80 games a few years back.

Sure, salary is a lot and the age is there. But it's not like you're trading for 40yr old dinosaurs.

I know if I was in Bill's situation I wouldn't trade Lubo+Kabs for any of Fowler, Goli or Subban...

I made it abundantly clear to Bill that I did not want to move Goli. If I did it would be for overpayment.

What Bill should be willing to pay because of the situation of his team vs what I should trade Goli for if I decide to move him are two totally different things. I think you guys are getting caught up on Bill's side of the equation (your argument about how it is not good for his team makes sense). But from my end, I'm not even sold on Kabs + Visnovsky because of their age and salary. It's not smart for my team to even do that despite it being overpayment.

No one who has commented on this topic, not shep, steve, scott or nick would give up one of their young studs on D or F for Kaberle + Visnovsky.

If you want to tell Bill it's bad for him, that's fair.

But do not come in here pretending like what I'm asking for is unreasonable and not very much along the lines of what you yourselves would ask for your players of equal calibre.

I don't consider Goligoski a stud at all, that's the difference.
