Ovechkin's a lot better then Malkin both offensively and in terms of h2h.. also, he hasn't had a major injury like Malkin has.. I really don't see Malkin being the same player for a couple of seasons.. if ever.
Duchene & Malkin are very comparable in terms of h2h
Ovechkin at 9+M regardless of what you say about his hits/pims is worth less than Duchene by Kareem's argument, especially given his recent downturn in goals and points.
To your other point about Malkin never being the same is so bogus lol. Malkin will crack 90 points with ease if he plays 75+ games.
It was my opinion.. one big blow to Malkin's knee and he's out for the year.. again! Malkin can score, absolutely.. but he's now fragile.. hopefully that doesn't take his edge he had away.

Geno is nowhere near Ovechkin in value, so that is a poor comparison. Duchene is actually very comparable to Geno moving forward, perhaps more valuable if you consider potential production in the periphery stats, an area Malkin provides next to no value, and with Duchene's offensive upside, I think you are looking at 15-20 point seperation between the two (at best) moving forward.
FTR, the only players in this league that I believe to be worth an 8+ million dollar salary are: Sidney Crosby last year (prior to injury), and Ovechkin in 2009. That is to say that no one is consistently worth that much money, IMO.

I would take Duchene and a H2H stud at 5 million dollars in cap space (such as David Backes) over Ovechkin if I was forced to pick one. Obviously in a trade you demand more, because league value, and H2H value are two separate things, still I don't think it is even debatable.

I don't want to turn this into a thread where its a 5 page thread debate. You think Duchene is worth more. I think Malkin is worth more. You think Boyes + the pieces are worth more. I think the Player I take at #7 will be much better than that. And let's just agree to disagree
.

No, I think Duchene at under 4 million dollars provides more value to a contender, than Malkin at 8.75. Money and term aside, there is no competition, Malkin is one of the best hockey players in the world. Furthermore, I never claimed Boyes had more value than the 7th overall pick, I am sure some idiot will pay more than Brad Boyes for it, what I doubt is that the player taken at that spot will go on to have more worth than a former 40 goal scorer.

Why? Rnh, Landeskog, Larsson, Couturier, Hamilton, Huberdeau. That's 6.

Rather strong chance of that
I'll use names, dunno what makes you so secretive.
1/2/3/4 in the
BBKL will play out (in random order) RNH, Larson, Landeskog & Couturier. Sounds to me like #5 is Hubedreau. I'm unlikely to be selection Hamilton for 3 reasons -> i) Don't want a D-man ii) BPA is unclear iii) Comparisons in this draft are very tough, using small samples of my own viewings instead of regular season stats or regional scouting reports.
Stromy, Hubs, & Zibs all interest me, order changes with my mood. Although Strome's highlights are currently winning the split decision.

Shiv makes a dozen deals a week, yet he has to dig up a thread from mid May to find one he feels wasn't a low-ball?

Shiv, fuck man, Nick already explained this to you, lw-balls do not get accepted. Now, I'm not saying you low-ball because personally, you've never low-balled me but you bumping these proves shit.
