Jagr was so dumb in his prime...Like a Mix of Alexander Ovechkin and Evegeni Malkin, one of my favourite players of all time. Nice deal Nick.

How?SuperMario wroteCOLONphilly keeps getting stronger. not gonna lie, their team is shaping up and the richards deal looks like a win for them now imo.
Let's forget the fact that there were problems in the organization with Richards because thats hearsay. I think that with Free Agency combined with the trade itself, they are a better team today than they were before the trade. The Devil wroteCOLONHow?SuperMario wroteCOLONphilly keeps getting stronger. not gonna lie, their team is shaping up and the richards deal looks like a win for them now imo.
Debatable. Although I'd rather have Richards then anything signed. It's still up in the air how this'll turn out. If Schenn turns in to the beast most think and Couturier lives up to his potential, Philly will be laughing. IMO, the only FA you can consider that was allowed to be brought in is Bryz.. and the jury is still out on that move. I'm sure Philly will have a fine team but better? I'm not ready to give them that label yet. Not even close.SuperMario wroteCOLONLet's forget the fact that there were problems in the organization with Richards because thats hearsay. I think the only area in which the outcome of the deal is undetermined is short-term. long-term Schenn, Couturier, Simmonds will make you forget about Richards as a franchise. not to mention the cap richards' contract freed up to sign free agents like jagr to turn the team around short-term.The Devil wroteCOLONDebatable. The point about Jagr's cap is fair but that does not account for the fact that signing Jagr mends losses in the short term. Long term Couturier, Schenn, Simmonds > Richards.facey wroteCOLONIncluding Couturier or Jagr in reference to Richards trade is a mistake. Schenn and Simmonds; and that cap is mostly used up. Did not allow for Jagr, trading Versteeg did that.
Now, they were at the SCF with this roster, so better is winning it? They are similarly as good, I'd prefer their old roster.
That's likely, but far from a guarantee..SuperMario wroteCOLONThe point about Jagr's cap is fair but that does not account for the fact that signing Jagr mends losses in the short term.
