Just before anyone jumps on me for this... My uncle died of a drug overdose after years of living with diabetes, being an alcoholic, selling drugs and doing every drug under the sun. I have no sympathy for people who have no have no desire to get control over their own lives. It's great that Derek went for treatment and all, but to pop again the day after leaving treatment? No sympathy. His brother wasn't trying to help him, he was just enabling him. It's just a sad situation.

Not a drug user myself, but I have no problem with anyone using anyone unless it directly harms others (i.e. PCP making you ax-murder someone, or alcohol leading you to run over my dog).

Derek gambled and lost. To say that Aaron wasn't trying to help him is to say something you could not know. Maybe he was trying to regulate his dosage to ween him off? Who knows.

Yeah I'm generally the same way about everything in life. I'm fine with religion if you keep it to yourself, Pro Choice but can see both sides of the argument, Anti drug but as long as you're not hurting anyone but yourself, I don't care.

He may have been trying to help him, but giving him more isn't helping him. Treatment should have been what was helping him. You need to want to help yourself get over your own addictions.

My buddy is Boogaard's Cousin-In-Law (is that even a real term) His sister is married to Boogaard's cousin.

That's it, I have no comment on the whole situation.

It's sad I know that, won't pretend to know enough details to really comment.
