not until the CC makes an official decision over compensatory waiver draft picks.
do not know why that's not happened yet ( -> don't shoot the messenger!)

I mightve missed something but what exactly is being discussed/looked into? Aren't waiver compensatory picks in the CBA?

there is a wording issue. Lee considers himself a "new GM" when I consider a manager who was there for every week of the season as, well, "not-new". Anyways, the decision is hopefully coming soon.
