Sure people are expecting Berglund to break out... but last year was a big step for him, another one is needed for him to be 'a bigger gap from Rene then Clowe to Backes'.

I think many of us see that trade with the expectation that Berglund IS taking another step forward. He's only 23, and in good shape to move forward. What you see with Bourque is what you get.

Of course. Why would a 23 year old strong and skilled Center like Berglund take another step forward?

I think you'll find that Scott consistently trades expectations for results; and when he trades results he makes sure he gets many pieces of expectations, as most don't take that 'next step'.

we'll see. I also think that talent league wide is concentrated on the rosters of the teams mentioned. scott would have to rape top tier gms to become a contender again. won't be easy. if Scott does find a way to 3-peat, we should all be ashamed of ourselves. because unlike years past, there is no excuse this year.
