To clarify, I see why Shep made the trade... he needed a top line C and has great wingers already so sparing one wasn't the end of the world. Also, Shep's periphs are already very good so sacrificing a bit to land some offense isn't a bad idea either.

I'd just prefer Parise & Hamonic to what Shep received, personally.

Tavares will be Top 3 in scoring for centres in the NHL this season. I'll give Stamkos and Malkin the benefit of the doubt.

Hamonic @ 875k was the deterrent here for the longest time. Eventually I figured fuck it ! .. Hamonic is beast, and I'll suicide in 2 years, but that's okay. I've had a good run.
