1. You guys are either super pussies of Kareem's team now
2. You're blind to what Arian's team needs - this deal was killer for his team.
So, to make a long story short, i'm reading these comments and assuming you're pussies and dislike one of Arian and/or Kareem.
3. Pekka Rinne is the a Top 3 Goalie in this league and has the ability to Win 2/3 goalie categories a week on average with a SINGLE roster spot and should never be traded for another team's goalie system unless there are bigger adds.

Didn't they just resign one of them, and Rinne, long term? That's pretty attractive incentive to join the team if players of those caliber will sign long term.
Nashville seems like a great destination to sign. Minimal media attentiion, actually being able to live a somewhat normal life on a good team. 7 mil on what may be a 70 mil cap next year for an elite goaltender?.. Where do I sign up from a Toronto perspective?
Markstrom is finally starting to play up to his billing, which is good because up until that point, he was all hype and no substance. PAP is decent, had him a couple of times. Prospects like Biggs and Holland are easily replaceable. Clem and Theo are having nice years, so are a lot of other goalies.
All of that doesn't equal up to an elite goaltender.

Any reason to believe the cap will be up to 70 mil next season? I've not heard any speculation.

Baseless assumption on how it's gone the last couple of years.

Top 3 goalie on a team that isn't competing, you guys fail to see the value this adds to a re-tooling team. You're all blinded by the fact it just made kareem that much stronger.
AKA the 'pussy factor'

Man Steve. I think what you are missing is that the people who don't like this trade for Arian just think he could have gotten more. That's all.

I mean, Arian receive some "value" in return.. but it creates more work for him to go out and use those pieces to land what he really should've been targeting. If I had Rinne and was moving him to downgrade big time in goal, I want more quality NHLers back. PAP is decent but nothing special and the prospects are medicore at best. It's ok value just not the desired return or one I was expecting when I noticed Rinne was available.

Lol, im not upset with this deal for anyone buddy, but i totally disagree, every other competing team has solid goalies, no one needed to invest this much outside of kareem.

I guarantee both Suter and Weber sign long-term in Nashville.

Kareem getting stronger means nothing to me lol.. but I don't "hate" this deal for Arian, I just would've wanted more quality

i agree, i was looking for more quality but the people interested in rinne are obviously one's that want to win now (7mil cap hit) and nobody came with an offer of a stud player. Parenteau is underrated, he has 43 points right now. I still got pieces that are easily moveable.
