Re: quit
All jokes a side, we'll miss ya Hongster, but if your heart isn't in it we'll support your decision to step aside!
All the best and keep in touch!

I have no issues. If you interpreted my post correctly you would see that I am describing, with age comes wisdom. I am stating that some decisions made in here by some gm's are made without wisdom, which would make me think they are much younger. Once your kid pops out, you will age exponentially and in a very short time will be quoting my words....
Re: quit
In seriousness though, David, something must have happened for you to make this decision. You never get involved in BBKL ragging. You are above pulling "quitting" for losing in the playoffs. You have always let any arguments or comments roll off your back. What got you to this point? I don't want you going anywhere. Do you really want to give up everything you have done since joining for something petty? If you need a break, fine, but dont make such a post unless you have given serious thought. Remember Chris...

bergey wroteCOLONAll jokes aside Hong - Your a staple GM in this league, you should take a leave of absence before the decision to quit. I say that with experience.
I'd agree with just taking a leave of absense from here for a few weeks or a month and see if being away is what you want to do before you get replaced. Shiv quit and came back later in the offseason. Just back away for a brief period of time and see if you really feel this way.
I do feel the emotional resignations have gotten old because it's generally one person getting under someone else's skin and they'd rather quit than just press on or work out the issues. It's pretty hard to have all 30 of us get along but if someone is truly being difficult, bring it to everyone's attention before it leads to someone quitting. I'd rather see the antagonist be forced to leave before it leads to several good guys quit.
Re: quit
I do agree with you here.shooker wroteCOLONI think it is legit. I think everyone can agree he hasn't been himself the last few months. If it isn't fun I can't blame you as I did the same thing and quit before. best of luck in the future bud.
As for people riding his nuts. My fellow Kyle gets chirped far, far worse i believe.
oh well.

for the most part, Im pretty sure it is all in good fun. Every once and a while perhaps things get a little too personal, but hey, overall id say we all get a long pretty well.Shep wroteCOLONPeople chirp people all the time here. Re: quit
Yep - I say bring on this Bruyns kid/any other new GM decided by the CC who wants to be a part of this great hockey community.
Re: quit
yea, i do. But seriously, you are all fictional characters that have the same interests as me. Nothing can be said that will hurt me. I can sling with the best of em. Ask Kareem. We have mutual respect for that sole reason. But this is not about me. I hope honger takes a break. I like that fella. Very modest and hilarious. BBKL is a hobby and should never affect your day or personal emotions. Need to cut the chord to online and reality sometimes.
Re: quit
I'd even go so far as to call this a great hockey family. For the most part, all of us have been in this league for what, 3+ years now? At times it seems like I know you guys in real life lol. Just a great group of hockey fans here.SuperMario wroteCOLONYep - I say bring on this Bruyns kid/any other new GM decided by the CC who wants to be a part of this great hockey community.
hong you should just take a break for a month or two. I think you will regret quitting..

Re: quit
Honestly, anyone who is surprised at this hasn't been reading some of the other threads, Hong has mentioned several times that certain people or groups have been bothering him. Like Shep said maybe Hong should be so sensitive to it, but fact of the matter is that he is, and that's who he is, so continuing to bother him or whatever happened should have stopped out of mutual respect.
Additionally publicly outing him as far as missing goalie GP really isn't cool Shook. Believe it or not we have an incredibly observant CC that handles things like that, and they in no way require you to public declare things for them to look into them. If you really believe that you have caught something they have missed I think you may have very good access to one of the members and can bring it to their attention in a more discrete way.
Its easy to stand back and call Hong childish for taking things to heart, and quitting but most of the responses in here are just as if not more childish...../end rant.

No one is calling hong childish for taking things to heart. Just saying perhaps he should not take things so seriously (which he shouldn't).Sensfanjosh wroteCOLONHonestly, anyone who is surprised at this hasn't been reading some of the other threads, Hong has mentioned several times that certain people or groups have been bothering him. Josh, you have to remember that Hong brings some of the ball busting on himself. Look at the rants that he posts sometimes regarding GMGM not playing Luongo.

But who doesn't bitch about stuff like that constantly, and what does that have to do with this other at all? I'm not gonna get into a drawn out debate over all of this, said my piece I'm done with it.
