Yeah 12 teams currently, I may be able to expand though if there is interest. The draft we can do as soon as the league is full. The draft order gets randomized 1 hour before the draft so should be pretty fun.

I wouldn't go past 12. We've got insanely deep rosters already that people will have backup's as their starters.Sensfanjosh wroteCOLONYeah 12 teams currently, I may be able to expand though if there is interest. Ever think of having 2 starting QB's? I've never been in one of those before.

Re: 2013 NFL Season
I had considered it, the issue is QB's are the top point producers generally, and it could potentially make the league about just grabbing two QB's high over a more balanced roster. Something we can discuss though.

Oh I completely understand, no worries.Sensfanjosh wroteCOLONI had considered it, the issue is QB's are the top point producers generally, and it could potentially make the league about just grabbing two QB's high over a more balanced roster. Something we can discuss though.
Looking at the scoring, I think it'll be fairly balanced as is (with 1 QB and the IDP points you have atm).

Re: 2013 NFL Season
haha, when setting up punters I vastly underestimated the number of yards they punt for in a year.....I had the top 5 punters all getting 2500points and AP at 719.....had to scale back considerably.

By the way if any of you know other's who would be interested just PM me some emails.
Re: 2013 NFL Season
So I noticed it's Keep 5. Given that we have 25 starters, I think it'd be a good aspect to say "Keep 5 - 1 per position" just so we don't have people hoarding 5 #1 WR, or 4 starting RB, etc.
So you can go: QB, RB, WR, TE, DL, for example. Adds another drafting element so you may not go RB/RB knowing you can't keep one.

Another thing, I don't like the insane value put on TD's compared to yards. 200 yards =/= 1 TD.
Somebody that goes 25/205/0 should not have the same points as somebody that goes 1/5/1
We definitely should adjust that.

Re: 2013 NFL Season
Yeah that's another thing to think about. I'm not married to the 5 keepers thing either, if as a league we decide its better for more or less keepers that's fine.
And yes that was essentially done to balance points more between QB, RB and WR. Otherwise QB's were all that mattered, still tweaking scoring.

Oh I know the scoring isn't set in stone, just throwing stuff out there.

I like the scoring you have, tbh, just not the vast difference between yards and TD's.

I just edited it, thoughts?
Re: 2013 NFL Season
Not bad. On the defensive side, DL are undervalued a lot.
Make up Sacks to like 15 and see where that takes us. The Tackles/Sacks ratio is what is giving LB especially and to a lesser extent CB and S a large advantage over D-linemen.
QB's take up most of the offensive page, but it's always like that. QB's are always get the most points, but after the top 12 who cares?
The record for sacks compared to tackles, is about 9x the amount of tackles as sacks. I haven't compared average in-season, but just saying.
2pts for a tackle vs. 15pts for a sack could balance a bit. Remember, there is a tackle on 95%+ of plays. Even 1pt per tackle and 10pts per sack might be good too.
