rumours were flying out here (edmonton) that the Oilers offered Gagner for Clarkson.

not sure if the oilers wanted the leafs to take a percent of Clarksons cap hit or not, but if the rumours were true and it was a 1 for 1 flip with no cap held i probably would have taken it (if i were the leafs)

I'll give clarkson credit for being hard to play against - but man it's as if that's all he can focus on - and forgets to play hockey, to try and score goals...

i think Clarkson will be fine, as nick said he's hard to play against.

Clarkson does win a lot of battles in the corner, he throws a solid check and has a hard shot.

I think you need to get Clarkson on kadri's line. The week Kadri went off (7 points in 3 games) he has Lupul and Clarkson on his line. They had finally seemed to have some chemistry, then randy broke them up.

Agree. the two injuries this year ahve really set him back. Dont forget he started season on IR. I bet you see him come alive getting fed by Stamkos. Oh baby....

Effects from getting off on the wrong foot is often underplayed by fans (us)... missing training camp or the first few games throws the mojo all off, lots of examples of it.


FWIW -> there's a problem if Callahan is expected to be the finisher for Stamkos hahahahhaha he'll likely grind the puck right into stammer's wheel-house.
