He also killed over 3 minutes worth of penalties and had 2 BS last game. He's not a one trick pony.

Didn't go balls deep in research this year. But there seems to be quite a few decent options left on the surface here. 2 full rounds wouldn't have been overkill

^this is true i thought. doesnt matter about a contract in the draft, but afterwards we can only sign contracted players.

BBKL draft eligible players are only eligible for the waiver draft if they have signed an NHL contract

Either he said it wrong or you misinterpreted it. Why didn't you take Austin Matthews then if that's the case? He's eligible for the next bbkl draft.

because there is an age limit for this waiver draft.
Howevr, in the cba it says ncaa players must 1. have a contract to be selected in this draft and 2. not still be in the ncaa system., so if devante was an ncaa guy he needs a contract. it doesnt say anyting bout euros tho...just the age thing.

there's an age minimum which also seems to be the age maximum for the upcoming entry draft

We had this discussion last year too after Arian selected a 2014 draftee but it was allowed because he had a contract. No 2015 drafted players without contracts who can still technically be drafted in 2016 are waiver draft eligible. I took a 2015 drafted player but he was older and it was his last year of draft eligibility so he was older than the age guidelines I linked above.
