Lol, wowers. I don't think a Ref/Linesman has ever been crosschecked in the head like that before. Lots of little pushes/shoves, pucks shot at them, accidental shit....That is brutal and deserves a lengthy suspension even if he thought it was the other teams player.

Does make it clear how poorly the NHL handled this. If someone from an office actually asked him that Q they should be reprimanded -> or not allowed to talk to players every again.

I'm glad he's still going to the game, but it does suck he finds himself in the AHL after all of this. I have no doubt having him on your bench does add confidence to the group, especially with facing the Kings & other hard teams. I think it's something that is still missed by many, I mean when the leafs overachieved like crazy, Orr, McLaren & Rosie all on the roster regularly, I dunno how it's measured but it has an effect.
