Wow, I know the guy is a bit of a dirty hockey player but I wasn't aware his (married) mother is ugly?

Odds of that plan resulting in injury is super low, not saying it's not dirty but just watching that game the fins did 20+ similar plays...

I think there's a certain set of goggles you're watching the game with in that case. You're aware Leo Komorov is on that team right?

funny thing coming from a Canadian to a non-Finn while watching Canada-Finland

anyway, I'll be waiting for the gifs of Komarov & friends hurting McDavid behind the play

Hang on... I fully acknowledge Perry as a dirty hockey player, Marchand and Gallagher on the ice too. But I'm also aware that just because a guy was hurt on a play doesn't make it inherently worse than a similar play without an injury outcome. If if you didn't see Finn's bumping into Canadians without the puck, say on their way to the bench or trying to forecheck or just after the whistle I feel like you must have averted your eyes intentionally.

Like.. a leg drag to trip another player is bordering on a normal play, and is only ever called if it leads to or ends a scoring play (in my viewing opinion).

I don't think what you're blaming the Finns for is comparable to what Perry did. And hearing commentators (Canadians too) talk about it, they didn't seem to share your point of view.

wait Mik, are you surprised the media are looking for a story?

it's a leg drag to trip a player... it happens in all levels of hockey and is not an attempt to injures, it's an attempt to be a prick and get under opponents skin.

nope, I'm surprised Team Canada captain goes out of his way and embarass himself (along with Canadian reporters) to 'take care' of an 18yrs old

Don't think it was an attempt at injury. Looked note like an attempt to trip a player to slow him down. No reason to believe that would cause an injury. Not that different from hooking or tripping a player. Major overreaction. And I don't care if Canada wins this event at all. I enjoy when Europe teams win the smaller events to build hockey fandom over there. Go Germany!

Happens in many hockey games...and saw enough 'accidental' interference in that game, away from the play or after the whistle that this is hardly a real situation.

Probably happens to me once every 10-15 games...

Reway signs with the habs :-)

for a team that lacks scoring he's a nice potential fit.
