Sucks for Nick though, I don't want the other Leafs goalies and I can't roll with Gibson and no backup in case he gets hurt. Guess I'm waiting to see who the Ducks sign and try and work out a 3way.

Need to find a 3way when ya can. Always tried to move goalies fair cheap and easy when I have part of someone else's system hoping the world goes round.

Not bad, still didn't like the Kessel trade, but Andersen might be able to salvage it.

Kessel + 2017 2nd for Kapanen & Anderson; worked really well for Pitts (they won) - but if we can get a good middle 6 winger and perhaps our starter for the climb upwards from the bottom it does seem like a logical deal.

Anderson's deal is 27.5 million over 5 years. Ouch.

Keith yandles rights traded to Florida for a 6th + conditional 4th.

Florida pulls it off it makes moving Gudbranson a no brainer

for some reason when i see yandle's name I associate him with dan boyle and think he's almost 40 too... not the case.

Looking into it more I thought he was there longer than he was. Thought he drafted guys like Risto and Compher. Didn't realize he's only there since 2014. Still a dumb trade and overpayment if he hasn't had discussions with Vesey.

I guess 5 is okay. He has still only played 125 regular season games on a pretty good team. Will be interesting to see how he does this season.

Not a fan of paying goalies who havent proven themselves over long stretches of time. Might work out, but today I don't like it.

Frederik Andersen has the 18th highest cap hit for goaltenders in the NHL. I'm not too concerned.

Leafs have tons of picks, and using them to try and solve our biggest need is great asset management. Draft a goalie late since they take a while to develop, always keep your eye on the European free agents and see what you can do.

Now, work on Hampus Lindholm and/or any other dmen that may be available!
