Definitely agree. While I do like the GP adjustment formula implemented. There has to be an amendment made to the rules going forward surrounding this exact situation that unfolded today. A pick that would have missed the playoffs reaching GP or not, should still be a lottery pick with the potential to be 1st overall.

yup, mcdavid was the prize. eichel is the consolation prize.

That was the gamble last spring. I thought I'd be better than 29th this year. I think Shep will do just fine with Marner or Strome or Crouse or Hanifin. I think the 3rd pick is the first real decision that needs to be made in this draft. McDavid and Eichel are slotted in at #1 and #2. The next several picks can go any direction.

I'm adopting a new rule for myself...I'm not allowed to trade my 1st unless I was in the playoffs the year before. Teams in the playoffs can use their 1st as a chip to add talent. I need to keep building through the draft.

It's always been moved back post lottery. Had that applied to two picks I own. Stop being so self serving and just think for once. Your bitching is hard to take seriously.

Missed the part where I'm paid. Oh wait i paid 10 other members dues as well as having to deal with one GM or another bitching about something entirely self-serving.
