NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
If you spend a 3rd drafting a guy and can trade him right after the draft for a 1st then your team has gained a lot of value imo. Not that u need to trade him, but it just opens up options.Shoalzie wroteCOLONMatthew wroteCOLONYeah I mean trade value.
Sure, if you don't want to hang onto them for a bit. I think it's silly to move a guy right away unless someone overpays. Even then, you don't know what the guy is worth as an 18 or 19 year old.

Reverse jinx, just need the last pick in the BBKL draft to get picked now.Bruyns wroteCOLONLooks like Sokolov is going undrafted too, wonder if he goes back to Russia now.

Finkelstein, Elfstrom...what funny names.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
If finkelstein and elfstrom were on the same NHL line that would be a fun game to watch.

I understand. If you're looking for a quick return, you might want to move a guy that is drafted higher than what you got them at. You never know if that guy is actually as good as the spot they were picked.
From my perspective, I need to refill the prospect pool so any quality prospect I can get my hands on, I'm probably hanging onto them. I've spent enough in futures the last season plus to add NHLers. I hope a few of these guys are players...not in a rush to move anybody but I've got an idea of what I have now that I see them linked with NHL teams.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Knierim dropping too, FC had him ridiculously high.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Well if you traded a guy you drafted 80 for a 20th + 80th for the next year, and that 20th bbkl pick ended up being taken 16th, I'd say you'd be doing quite a good job refilling the cupboard, just in a different way. Especially if the guy u selected in the 3rd round was considered a reach originally by being taken in the 1st.Shoalzie wroteCOLONMatthew wroteCOLONIf you spend a 3rd drafting a guy and can trade him right after the draft for a 1st then your team has gained a lot of value imo. Another dropper is Luce who was traded up for, wasn't a fan of his or Knierim though. Nice to see Quenneville and Ronning b2b thought they deserved to go a little earlier.

I had to think he was going to be one of my last guys to go. I had a few I wasn't too confident in. At this stage, we're talking some of my 5th and 6th rounders not being picked. Not a killer like I've had in the past...4th rounders or higher going undrafted. I think 5th/6th/7th round picks...those are wild cards.

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
So many non bbkl drafted players being picked that lots of our guys needed to go undrafted. I had a good beginning where half my guys were selected way higher than I took them, unfortunately the other half were not drafted...

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
We also had a lot of previously drafted NHLers in our draft that weren't picked by us in their draft year. These overflow guys will find their way into the 2017 draft.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Surprised we didn't see anyone "pass" on their draft pick like BBKL ARZ.

Looks like I own biggest bbkl dropper Sawchenko I drafted 43rd Overall going undrafted...he better be a 1st round talent next year...
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
No Fortier is another surprise, I missed on one guy who Pronman had ranked 100th. If you are going to miss might as well be with pick 210 though.

Pronman had Sawchenko listed as his #2 goalie in this draft lol...Bruyns wroteCOLONNo Fortier is another surprise, I missed on one guy who Pronman had ranked 100th. If you are going to miss might as well be with pick 210 though.
