Not surprised at all. That rumor came out almost 2 weeks ago. Markov wasn't worth his last contract let alone an increase in salary now.Shoalzie wroteCOLONA bit surprised...Streit to the Habs for a cheap one year deal.

I thought the report was that Montreal didn't offer him a contract. He was willing to sign a one-year deal to stay.
