Sure! Still getting used to what we can and cannot do in this forum. I'm used to Pro Boards a little too much I think.

Forwards going quick as expected

From a fantasy perspective, it makes sense. Each of the last three drafts here...only Hanifin is the only defenseman picked in the top 5. Each of those drafts, a defenseman went no earlier 6th overall...all forwards in the top 5 other than Hanifin.

I debated a Dman but Wahlstrom was hard to pass on. Debated him at 3 is why I paused there.

when you say, for example, 1.5 SJ from Chicago via LA

that means it's Chicago pick that was traded to LA then traded to SJ right?

San Jose acquired the Chicago pick from (or via) Los Angeles...so it's "San Jose (from CHI via LA)". He didn't get the pick directly from Chicago, he acquired it via another team.

In Matt owning Paul's pick...he acquired that right from him so that's simply "Buffalo (from CAR)".

When I put "via", it's the most recent trade that the current holder of the pick acquired the pick from. I don't put the entire chain of trades in the pick...just the most recent trade.

In the sheets such as "1st Rd Picks", it gives you an idea of the chain of trades from the original owner to the current owner. In the case of Billy getting his pick back, I like to reference the fact he re-acquired the pick from Toronto but I don't reference the trades that lead to Toronto getting the pick. I hit reset button on that chain of trades.

The disrespect for dmen is real in fantasy sports.

It's probably a bit more about the format of this league really. I was always planning to draft either Hughes or Boqvist at #6, preferably Hughes. I was fairly confident someone would take Tkachuk high because he could be a monster in this format, I wasn't necessarily expecting Wahlstrom or Kotkaniemi to go quite that high. Surprised Boqvist is still on the board.

Criminal that Boqvist is still there. Bouchard and Dobson may be more NHL studs then fantasy studs.
