Well, Chiarelli ruined it for everyone. You have to overpay to get top 4 defenders right now much less young-prime aged top 4 defenders. And Dubas has done this to himself by allowing this standoff to go on this long. Pesce would actually be a good return at this point.

Not often do you see a coach with his credentials get pink slipped...they usually just don't come back when their contract expires. It's interesting that he's the fall guy while Bowman has made a series of bad moves. Spends all the money to keep their core around and can't put a supporting cast around them.

the trades he made may still come back to cost him his own job eventually, firing the coach is often GMs' last resort move before they get the hook themselves

I'm betting LA is all over Quenneville.

St. Louis should be going after Q. They are built to win now, though their goaltending is a huge issue and they've played like garbage.

Defenseman Jakob Chychrun has signed a six-year contract extension with the Arizona Coyotes, the team announced Tuesday.

Chychrun's extension is worth $27.6 million with an annual average value of $4.6 million, TSN reported.

That could be an absolute steal as early as Summer 2019.
