As a comp...Mark Stone at 27 got 8 years at $9.5 million with Vegas and now Skinner gets 8 years at $9 million also at age 27 with the Sabres. I like all that Stone brings to the table...I'd probably still take Stone at the slightly higher price. I think Skinner is a good fit in Buffalo assuming he continues to ride shotgun with Eichel. I think both guys come in at "market price" given age and production.

Nah man, career shooting % year ... he’s a nice player but ... he’s no where near Stone (in the conversation for best two way winger ). Skinner is not that at all. He’s a nice 30-30 offensive winger

Not sure how that is relevant to what Shoalzie is saying. Stone got more because he has been a more consistent performer. On the open market they both got what they are worth in relation to each other. And both are worth the aav, but man 8 years is a pretty bitter pill to swallow for Skinner. Goal scores get paid, but I'm not sure I'd want to be paying Skinner til he is 34.

I like it for Pittsburgh, as much as I like Maatta as a person he is not particularly good at hockey. Pens shed a player they were healthy scratching and $3m in cap for a player of the same age that could fill in up and down their lineup
