When is he not awful. Detroit dominated the 1st 20 mins of that game and still largely carried the play into the 2nd period until the Flyers took them apart in the final 25 mins of that game. Goaltending was the difference in the game with Hart standing on his head and Pickard being Pickard.

Bringing up 20 year old rookie goalies to a losing team is usually pretty detrimental to their development. Not sure what Chuck thinks, but I wouldn't be happy if I were a Habs fan and they are rushing a young goalie rather than letting him get some more time in the AHL to develop his game..

Hasn't really hurt Carter Hart. Primeau has seemingly been unaffected by each jump in competition. It will only be detrimental if they don't play him. If they are still going to run Carey out there 60+ starts then yeah it's not a very good idea.
