About what I would expect after missing all last year after double hip surgery and the first 20 some games with an ankle injury.

I did a double take when I saw he's 31...and he's only got 50 NHL games under his belt.

I'll be curious to see what direction the Avs go with their goaltending but they keep a guy who has been a solid 1A/1B. Kuemper and Francouz are statistically similar...GAA and SV% are in the same neighborhood. One goalie doesn't seem to give them a decided advantage over the other.

It doesn't look like a great goalie market this summer...the Avs might be wise to just stick with this duo. A tandem capable of giving you .920 goaltending...I think you'd want that if you in win-now mode.

2 games for matthews is a complete joke if you go and take a look at other similar plays this year. Drouin had one this season where he demolished seguin twice in the back of the head with a cross check. All he got was a 5 minute major and a 5k fine iirc. Matthews though, who has never done anything like this and was up for the lady byng last year gets two fucking games. The nhl is pathetic
