its either 5 or 10 minutes but they can request 5min extra time.... they have 180 picks to get through in a few hours.

I'm not saying I sound exactly like her... but I'm pretty close.

cannot find anything official on it.... they are told when its their turn, and they are reminded before 5 minutes.... I dunno if it happened this year, but I've seen the extra time request in other years

Are you saying you disagree that people would 'bother' doing a quick search if it meant losing the pick if they're drafting someone who has already been drafted?

Carolina picked Silas.
I picked Nordstrom.
Carolina's pick was actually forfeited, and Silas was who I wanted. So the pick was changed.

So you got Silas at #83 and Phoenix gets Nordstrom at #130?

nope, even though i do think some picks would be lost.. just replying to whoever told me back then that redoing picks was never an issue in this league.
And actually my point was about the prospects not listed on CBS and BBKL subforums.. if anything, i would have been in favour of letting redo the picks used on players not listed on the subforums, but NOT the picks wrongly used on players owned and correctly listed.

What would help is having the recaps of each round show the correct picks. Joakim Nordstrom is still listed as Hartford's pick at #83 when he actually picked Silas. Anyone that would've wanted Nordstrom prior to #130 would've assumed he was actually taken but in reality, he wasn't.

Searching helps but we all need to keep things updated and accurate or have one guy or a few guys in charge of keeping records of rosters. Until these players are added to CBS, the board is the only place to find the true rosters.

On a side note, i'll point out once again that pick #67 was a Nashville pick, hence Olden is Nsh property, not Hartford property.

i think GMs must be accountable for keeping their subforum roster updated.
Why should someone else spend time to do what each GM is supposed to do himself.

Thats exactly it. Keep you own shit in order, record how it came to your possession and your safe. This is summer & slow time for the admin's as well... having 3+ people do the entry draft stuff really makes it too confusing to keep track; we should probably make a sticky thread specifically for draft picks, and in each spot record the original team, draft location (#) and keep track of the trade history of the pick; when the time comes add in what player was selected with the pick.

ex (not saying this is the order, just trying to show what I'm thinking)
2010 BBKL entry Draft:
2010 NYI 1st (#1) -> NYI/TBL/FLA/WSH/PHI -> Taylor Hall
2010 PHX 1st (#2) -> PHX/PHI/WSH/STL -> Tyler Seguin
...
2010 TBL 1st (#4) -> TBL/DAL/NJD/BOS/LAK/PHI/BUF/COL -> Erik Gudbranson
...
2010 EDM 5th (#130) -> EDM/DAL/WSH/NJD/CBJ/BUF/PHX -> Nordstrom
...
2010 BOS 7th (#208) -> BOS/LAK/PIT/BUF/HFD/PHI (no selection made yet)
Repeat for waiver draft and future drafts. However this tracking requires that we stop the insanity of trading assets 2+ drafts away.

Just an idea, lots of the same people seem to complain w/o offering to help or suggests methods of improving it.. Scott/Matt/Mike/Kareem/Neel do lots for this league.

Steal? Don't flatter me... :D

I'm going to be out most of today but I'll try to jump on sometime either late tonight or early tomorrow morning before I head to the D watch the Tigers game. I'll be back later Sunday night to check if my turn is up.
