Marcus Foligno joins a host of teammates scratched due to illness Monday, leaving the Sabres badly shorthanded.

Erik Gudbranson underwent orbital surgery Monday and is out indefinitely, the Sun Sentinel reports. He apparently suffered the injury Friday against the Jets, and it's unknown when he'll make his return to the ice.

Per TOI Yak is amazing, wish he'd get more solid minutes: N. Yakupov : 1g,1a, 2pts, +1, 1sog (weak), 12Pims, 2 hits all in just 9 shifts for 6:29 toi. For a guy that tied for the league in rookie scoring, led his team in goals, he sure doesn't get much credit. I get that dallas is trying to get him to play the game the right way… but at some point shouldn't he let him play?
