Shook -plays scout- 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. IMO and in my conversations with him at least.
I will agree on shook, if i have an opinion shook is the guy i ask. One of the best hockey opinions in the bbkl, if not the best.

edit - i'd also put shook under 'stat guy' not 'name guy'

but i'll let shook speak for himself!

Need a fine balance steve.
3 guys obsessed with stat lines:

Mike
Myself
Shiv

i'd say look up in the standings if that indicates much of anything.
Like urself mike is stacked with name value too

Shep, Shook & me.

Hell, add CAM + hong to this group as well.
I ignored stats and went only on value while rebuilding and now I do the opposite while trying to compete. Just how i roll

Assets are only valuable if you currently own them.

finally, a good debate!!

Stat vs Name vs Stat+Name

Tony's team = All stats
Mike's team = combo of Stat + name (more stats tho)
Shiv = Stat 1st, then names
Nick = names, with some solid stats (more offense)
Shep - see Paul

Wildcards teams:
Chuck - mostly stats (great team)
Lee - More names, but in a re-tool phase

I am currently in my "trade stats for value" phase.

I wouldn't considering what I am doing a retool. I liken my situation to an expansion franchise. I am building, not rebuilding.

Ya your team was pretty much an expansion team when you first got it lol

EDM Oilers is all name power, not stat power. And none of hall/rnh/yakupov/eberle are particularly good looking either.

Your easy to label. Got a cup, go after all the young upcoming stars and players you enjoy to watch. Much funner when you've already won once.

And that isn't a shot at u guys, as you are 3 of the guys I talk to the most, but u r driven by being hard to trade with!

I think that only applies to a select few people. I find it very difficult to come to terms with guys like you, Shep, Nick, Shiv...etc as we seem to have same goals and evaluations for players. Another issue is the constant trolling it sometimes makes it hard to believe whether you are getting truth or not in pms...lol For someone who doesnt trade alot it makes it even harder as i dont want to put in the labor of having to make 2 or 3 other moves to make one. Now when it comes to Shook, Bry, Mike, Chris, I have always had seamless deals.

Have to add Lee to the hard list too. I think we have had many discussions but the only ever transaction between us was a waiver pick. Id like to see what franchises i have not made a deal with.

I like your bluntness. Its hard to get a budge out of you. I was excited to make a trade with you last year of Hall for Mitchell.
