Arian The Insider wroteCOLONCasperX22 wroteCOLONArian The Insider wroteCOLONPretty good team actually. Could use a receiver if your league is set up to start 3 of them though.
Even for a 12 team league that was pretty bad. Horrible group of WR's.
well yes, in hindsight it's a bad team. the wr's were lacking from the beginning but graham having a disappointing year and stacy being overtaken as the starting RB were unexpected. especially the former.
Even without the benefit of hindsight that is really bad. In my preseason rankings I had:
Johnson ranked 16th
Wayne 35th
Shorts 37th
Bowe 44th
and Baldwin 53rd
I ranked all of them highly in risk factor and low on upside.
Also, Jimmy Graham was kind of a waste if you decided to keep Pitta even though with hindsight he ended up getting hurt. Having 2 potential top 5 TE's is a pretty pointless strategy. Same goes for taking 2 #1 QB's even though Kaepernick is a bum.

And Stacy being overtaken wasn't exactly unexpected. Disappointing maybe, but not unexpected. If Mason could pass block to save his life he would have came out of camp as the starter. He started the year as the #3 back because Stacy and Cunningham are much better blockers.

yep, i agreed he needed a receiver at the time and obviously still do now. having the 2 TEs is a waste depending on where he took Pitta. ya, stacy was sick the year before in fantasy but he did have a low YPC. still, he was a rookie and logically should have improved but he did not and went down the depth chart as a result. kaep could have been dealt for wr help. there were definitely pieces there for him to use.
anyways, i find the best strategy is to draft RB, RB, WR then your QB or a WR/TE depending on what's left on the board and what positions are going quicker in your draft. i ditched this strategy this year and it really backfired lol.

Yeah I try to do RB's first as the foundation of my team.....Def prefer auction drafts to snake much more strategy involved

Depending on the draft format I've always felt you take RB's and WR's first. Doesn't matter the order in which you take them, but if you don't have at least 2 studs and another 2 solid starters there you are in trouble. QB is so deep that you can wait til the 5th round to take one unless one of the elite guys make it past the 1st 2 rounds. Same goes for TE's. Unless Graham, Gronk fall out of the top 2 rounds you can wait til the 7th to take one. DEF and Kickers don't even matter they can be streamlined. It is all relative to how the board plays out though. Just more of a basic guideline.

Why yes me and you both sir. Allows everyone an equal chance at picking the players that you want rather than having you restricted by where you are in the draft order. Also lets you know who the guys are that really know what they are doing because you have to have a $ number and budget in mind throughout the draft. Those that know how to pick out those players that are highly undervalued based on the market are the ones that will succeed.

Actually that was a pretty awful game. Exciting finish though thanks to McCarthy being one of the dumbest Head Coaches in the NFL and Capers being one of the dumbest Defensive Coordinators in the NFL. McCarthy deserves to be fired for this loss, but it won't happen and they will find a scapegoat.

Not a prediction, but here's hoping both team planes collide on the way to Arizona and the Super Bowl is cancelled this year.

2-31 and you play prevent fuxking defense after pressuring Wilson all day? Reeeetarded!!!
And then bostick decides that instead of blocking on the onside kick he would try to be the hero and he let's the ball go through his hands to go right off his face.
I'm fucking heartbroken.

Neither game was particularly exciting. The NFC Championship was a mess and Russell Wilson proved why he might be the most overrated QB in the NFL and then he was one upped by McCarthy and Capers showingijg they are two of the dumbest and most overrated coaches in the league. The AFC Championship game, the Colts were just overmatched. They just aren't even close to being in the same class as the other 3 teams in the final 4. Andrew Luck is so great that he has able to carry a below average roster overall to being within 1 game of heading to the Super Bowl.
