Pretty decent offer. Not sure if its enough for Billy's two top offensive forwards though.

I guess we will see in the coming days...

unfortunately the NHL has become a joke like the NBA with the obvious throwing to get the 1st overall
Sabres have a much better team on paper... but they seriously play like shit. Carolina actually tries to win but ya my god I can't consider the Sabres a serious club to watch anymore they make me wanna feel bad for them which really shouldn't happen because that's what THEY WANT you to feel on purpose.

that being said, all fantasy owners should stay away from scoring-oriented Sabre players at ALL cost

No way the players themselves, or Ted Nolan for that matter, are purposely trying to lose. Both have too great a financial incentive to perform as well as possible.

Ya i guess a small part of me where there is a soul just feel for sabres fans... I mean apparently at least toronto is a glamorous city according to a biased vogue writer as top 5 most glamorous in North America. Shitty city teams at least gotta be good (stl/baltimore) but these guys get to be bums in a bum city id wanma kill myself

This. Also, If you were a professional athlete would you "not try" for an entire season so you could get a chance at 1 gifted 18 year old on your team? These guys have been major competitors their entire lives. Throwing away an entire year of ones career simply for a small chance to get some kid that the athlete likely doesnt care about would be an unusual thought process. Not to mention, he would take 1st line ice time away from the top line guys, and could put a bottom line guy entirely out of a job.

One thing i'll say is the culture of losing is infectious... the more you lose, the more you expect it, the less motivated you get and the worse the team does as a whole. Tenders lose their confidence quick and if the team in front of them doesn't pick it up, its a quick slide down to the cellars. Sure I don't think they are taking, but its gonna look like it for the rest of the year.

It's not the players that are tanking it's management who went out and spent money on bad players to get over the cap floor, but still be garbage.

Mezsaros, Gorges, Gionta, Moulson and Benoit aren't going to improve a team.
