i have 6 mil and iggy hits, so that's why i'd pay more for iggy than riberio. But that's me.
Iggy is mr consistant, love the guy, hits a ton, plays in a great system for his style.

How? a lot of info many wouldn't agree with.
Brad Richards certainly didn't bring in more than Iggy +1st
Dwight King + 2nd + 3rd is better than Iggy + 1st? that's some twisted logic if you consider that better.
Either way, i'll stay out of here, seems to me a lot of weird value being put on players (and by calling a guy who's FOW percentage is 43%) a beast on faceoffs is a bit of a false selling feature as well.
Riberio has as many faceoff wins as Frans Neilson (by comparison) and Frans rotates from wing to C throughout the game (winning about 6-7 per game) A beast of faceoffs is someone who can win 12-20 a game (crosby, Getz, Bergeron, Toews, Sedin, etc...)
now dont get me wrong Riberio adds value to a contender, but he's going to be used as someone's 4th or 5th centerman, he isn't a center piece and if he is a center piece player on your roster you aren't a contender.
And I think you are looking at your Centers and assuming other contenders Center's are comparable to yours. In the west, outside of you, he would have second most Faceoffs on San jose, Colorado, Chicago, Minnesota, and Nashville. 3rd most on St Louis. And amongst those teams leading scorers.
You need to realize that your team is heads and tails above every other team In the west. If they want to compete with you, they will need a guy like Ribeiro.

This has turned into a great thread. Healthy discussion on varying opinions and perspectives. I especially enjoy the sides from guys who already have BBKL Stanley cups in their trophy case.

Hey man, I'm a rookie with Potential. In this league that holds 5 times as much value as a BBKL champ.
Steve and I are both Pragmatic and Stubborn.

i seriously just want u to rip off Cam, the league has come a long way between Good GMs vs Retard GMs and it's heading in the right direction. I dont want u to miss out on a good deal

I may do that deal if I had been given Colorado(good team) or Dallas(team with tons of good young players, and its picks), but I wasn't. I was given a bad team with no picks or prospects. I will hold the Centerman.

Haha Steve. Its so true. Funny thing is I know that i was being ripped off and was still willing to make such a deal. But when Mike Fisher returns and Ribeiro rubs his teammates or coach the wrong way he will be done or playing in Europe. Those are things i never really thought off. If he is that great, why was he released from his contract and had to sign for only 1 mil? How did he do last year in AZ? I cant remember...honestly.

Mike Fisher returned and is playing 12 minutes a game on the second line.
He had 47 points last season on an offensively inept Arizona. The team lead was like 53, and he was playing on the second line.

Lehtera has been amazing to start the year and nice to see him get some recognition in the OP. Having 2 of the 14 Cs listed and Turris as well has Buffalo looking strong up the middle.
Ribeiro's price seems high, but ANA is right that anyone that is trying to win should value him with the production he provides for his cap hit. Iginla's numbers aren't going to bounce back in COL IMO. He had a nice season in BOS, but COL overachieved BIG time last season with numbers that were obviously going to regress and they have and it's early, but their playoff chances are very slim. Iginla did well to cash in one last time, but his production isn't going to be what it was last season and there are only a handful of teams that would give good value for Iginla and his cap hit. I think Ribeiro because of the cap hit has a lot more value than Iginla and not at all surprised ANA wouldn't want him.

Bump.
Matthew wroteCOLONHe is the #1 center of Nashville centering James Neal and Filip Forsberg.
I would like a good return of pick/prospect + young roster player for him.
Ribeiro has a 1 million dollar cap hit.
Below are the only Centermen in the league with both as many FOW's and as many Points as Ribeiro. Also listed is their Cap hits.
As you can see his cap hit is far below the ones listed, and all these centermen would cost far more in assets.
Thornton 6.75
Zetterberg 6.1
Pavelski 6
Spezza 7
Brassard 5
crosby 8.7
Getzlaf 8.25
Backstrom 6.7
Sedin 7
Johansen 4
Toews 6.3
Bozak 4.2
Giroux 8.3
Lehtera 2.55

5*30 = 150 1st line BBKL'ers. Therefor, Ribeiro is a 1st line BBKL'er whose cap hit is only 1 million.
