Well, we'll see where the pick ends up.

I don't think it'll be McDavid...my bet is on either Eichel or Hanifin...depends on your preference obviously. Seems like I can't quite get out of the 29th spot. I'd be very surprised if that pick is any lower than #3. If you ended up with McDavid...I would not feel too good about our deal. Bennett hasn't played all year so I don't really know what I got in the deal.

Knowing what I know now about Bennett's injury and the fact he's probably not going to help me this year...would I have not made the deal? And knowing where I'd end up in the standings...of course not. My team ended up being worse than I expected. I really thought I'd get better contributions from J.T. Brown and Ian Cole also...the other pieces in the deal. I wanted to make a splash last summer and double down on my Ekblad pick at #1. That pick has definitely worked out so far. I don't think we'll know who won that trade until a couple years anyway.

Shoalzie wroteCOLONEven with trading Schmaltz and McNeill, I'm pretty good at the center position...Sam Bennett, Jeremy Gregoire, Jake Guentzel, Ryan MacInnis, Tyler Motte, Kyle Rau and Devin Shore and I've got Oscar Lindberg in the AHL. Bennett could be a winger or center. Motte has played more wing than center at Michigan...he's moved around in their top 6. Riley Barber is by far my best natural winger...having another solid year with Miami.

If we're going by under 50 games...Ekblad would still qualify for a prospect. I'd probably slot Ryan Graves as my 2nd D. Josh Jacobs, Marc McNulty, Marcus Pettersson and Alexis Vanier would round out my top 6. Mat Bodie has had a solid first year pro in the AHL...one of several talented players to turn pro from last year's Union national title team.

Cal Petersen has taken over the starting goalie job at Notre Dame...he's had a decent freshman year. Too early to grade Hayden Lavigne but from what I've seen, he'll be able to walk in and compete for the starting job with Michigan.
some really quality names in that list scott.

impressive actually

I'm not sure how exactly that happened, but it's funny how Tryamkin reached God status in the Canucks fans circles

I wouldn't mention HF around here, it's seen as less than... Eklund.. for some reason.

It's a great resource, but far from unbiased.

Charles Hudon is more like 6.5D
Ville Pokka 7.5B
Vasilevsky 8.5B should be in order
