Probably, yes.
Re: Braydon Coburn
The first is too big of a gap really and doesn't really accomplish what I'm trying to do anymore. Rask and Gelinas is pretty much a wash imo and Coburn and Stafford are pretty close to a wash. Would prefer 1 really good young asset for Coburn whether that be an NHL player, prospect, or pick. Quality over quantity.Lee wroteCOLONYour loss.

Re: Braydon Coburn
Rask and Gelinas? Meh. We'll call that a draw.
There is a massive gap between where Coburn is and where Stafford is. I'd gladly make this a 1-1 deal for Stafford and Rask and eat the value loss because I need a center. I'd also listen to other options besides Coburn, if that would interest you more, allowing us to remove the 1st. If I am dealing Gelinas for Coburn, I want the 1st. As others have said, it's fair.
Besides Paul, who is most likely on some kind of drug.

This year perhaps there is a gap between Coburn and Stafford, but I feel Coburn has a long enough track record to suggest this season has been an anomolly with a bad luck injury and then coming backto fast and reaggravating it.Lee wroteCOLONRask and Gelinas? Meh. We'll call that a draw.

I know we talked trade the other day, I just hadn't made a public offer in a while and felt left out of the argumentsCasperX22 wroteCOLONNot moving Kreider for Horny.Arian The Insider wroteCOLONHornqvist for Kreider + Coburn

Yes, it would be selling Coburn at a low while Stafford is having a good season. It would also be selling Gelinas at a low while Rask is having a good season. Stafford helps you more this year while you are in a position to win. You'd be swapping Reider, Bourque or Morrow for Stafford, which is a massive upgrade for no cost to your active lineup and a cap savings.

Re: Braydon Coburn
Nice quoting lol.
At this point, I am more talking myself out of trading Gelinas than I am in trading for Rask, so I'm going to bow out.
Thanks for the talks. Good to learn the new guys stance.

Re: Braydon Coburn
I honestly believe Coburn (healthy) is equal to Gelinas currently
Gelinas def has more offensive upside, but he wont have the similar periph + Gelinas situation in NJD not so good since the coaching change

Re: Braydon Coburn
Okay, now factor in that he is 6 years younger and you'll see why I am asking for a first.
Re: Braydon Coburn
Coburn is also a better player right now irl and in fantasy thanks to his track record all while being in a much better situation than Gelinas right now. There is no bigger Gelinas fan than me here I'm pretty sure, but the gap is far and away from a 1st.Lee wroteCOLONOkay, now factor in that he is 6 years younger and you'll see why I am asking for a first.
Re: Braydon Coburn
Was waiting for that comment..
Now let's factor in the gap between Stafford and Rask.
He really is not a better player right now. He's had a terrible year and really, he hasn't been THAT good for a very long time. . He wasn't great last year. He had a shitty lock out season. Good year in 11-12, 2 meh seasons before that, At this point, it's hard not to call him over rated and living off of the name he built in 2007-2009. 6 years ago.

Re: Braydon Coburn
Are we comparing Stafford and Rask here? I'm confused. This is Rask's first NHL season and right now Stafford what scores a little bit more and hits more?
Re: Braydon Coburn
We can if you want, above was Coburn.
Stat - Stafford - Rask
GP - 56 - 57
G-10 - 8
A-17 - 10

So yeah, faceoffs is really the only advantage of Rask over Stafford. Which is what I've been saying.

Re: Braydon Coburn
Offense is where it's really at for Gelinas and I mean right now he's not really even providing much more of it than Coburn atm who is having an awful season and not known for scoring. Again though you have to consider their respective team roles. Coburn is entrenched in the Flyers top 4 and their best defender while being on the first pk unit. His stats will rebound as he gets healthier and continue to be asked to shutdown teams top lines. Gelinas has been in and out of the lineup for defensive issues. Like I was saying before when you get scratched several times in favor of Peter Harrold that gives you an idea of where he is in his development defensively right now.
