Mik should add all NHL rookies mentioned in this thread to the OP. After each month we should have a short quick vote and rate the top 10 in bbkl, or somehting.

Also the 4th season he has played in the NHL, but I agree.

Hopefully Kalinin sticks at C all year for the Devils since getting an NHL C for a 4th round pick would be nice. Also hoping Nurse eventually gets called up this season as he would strengthen my D.

To continue with the theme of talking about young players that aren't rookies, I have four 20 year olds in my starting lineup that all look to be taking a big step forward this season. MacKinnon is looking like he is going to rebound nicely with 5 points already in 2 games. Horvat has taken over the 2C role in Vancouver and playing with Vrbata will help his stats. Lazar has also moved up to the 2nd line playing with Ryan and Zibanejad and if he adds some points to his great periphs that will be a bonus. Zadorov has 8 hits in 2 games and should get 2nd pair ice time all season.

Other young players who will play or have a chance to this season: Matteau, Lessio, Sundqvist, Kerdiles, Leivo, McGinn

Not a bad start for my most anticipated guys Panarin & Larkin. Janmark's start is the pleasant surprise.
