I was just listing high profile rookiesthis season. There are a few there that won't get any Calder votes at all.

If you look at his splits, his ice time jumped significantly in January + February, over November + December. Like 5 minutes per game.

Great class overall...going to be a tough choice to pick 3 finalists. McDavid will have a great career but he missed too many games. Panarin, Eichel and Gostisbehere would be my top 3.

As far as up front...Donskoi has come on of late. Throw his name in there.

Carolina has had a nice year with rookie D...Hanifin, Slavin and don't ignore Pesce. Colin Miller hasn't had a half bad rookie season.

Hellebuyck belongs on the list...same number of wins as Gibson, 2.34 GAA, .918% and 2 shutouts. You can even throw Domingue in there. Even Condon has better numbers than Vasilevski.
