-because he called Backstrom a lazy player
- claimed he preferred Kuzy in big game situations
I actually didn't. But the latter is probably true, looking at their history

I think with Backstrom his concussions have been part of his seasons of uninspired play

I didn't say this either.

Since you referred to his pts total though, it seems obvious those have been helped by playing on Caps PP and with Ovy (just like Ovy's goals totals have been helped quite a lot by playing with Backstrom and Caps' PP)

Good players play with good players? You don't say.

Disproven by their playoff stats.

Malkin has played with crap most of his career, Pavel Bure almost his whole career, and other stars have been playing out their career with good players but not with other stars like Ovy & Backs had the chance to do with each others

I've seen Kuznetsov play in 5 playoffs and he's been disappointing only 1 time out of 5 so far, Backstrom on the other hand has been disappointing in several yrs and his play has had his share in Caps' consistent failures

what the fuck is this argument even all about
Both are good players lol
Overall, Backstrom HAS to be the better player out of the two so far purely based on

Service time
Stats

what are you even arguing for kyuss
that Kuz will eventually top Backstrom's career stats?

He has played behind the best player in the world his whole career and plays with him on the pp lol! Bure is a good example, but not Malkin.

actually, I don't think I've ever seen in any sport a superstar mistreated as much as Malkin. The guy has received 2nd line minutes his whole NHL career, and 4th liners for most of IT. Such a shame he never played on a different team.

As for your argument about him, Malkin has always been better with Crosby out of thr lineup...

To an extent I feel like Malkin isn't really the kind of guy who wants to be in the spotlight anyway, he's generally happy not to have to deal with the media and such. That said it clearly stung him not to be in the top 100 players recently despite deserving it so he has his pride too. He has spent a fair amount of time with decent players on his wing though, James Neal and Jussi Jokinen for a few years, Kessel at times in the last couple of years, Kunitz on an off. Not superstars, but some of the best available in the lineup at the time.
