You have a point, but it still doesn't change the fact that they are each their own separate categories and are scored as such equally. In the end fantrax scoring is just a tool like any other stat that is useful within context.Sensfanjosh wroteCOLONI was going to type something similar but it is also true that a goal could potentially hit the goal category, the points category, stp category (or +/-) and gwg category, so in reality a goal is (at least potentially) worth more than a blocked shot which can only ever impact one category.CasperX22 wroteCOLONWhat would be the point of that? You don't get 2 wins for winning say goals and 1 for +/-. You get the same amount of wins for winning each individual category making not one single category more important than the other. Regardless of how useless certain categories like +/- actually are.Da_Hawks wroteCOLONIt would be nice if we could manually determine the weight of each category so the rankings could reflect our reality.

Re: Chicago Off-Season Trade Block
I mean the main point we should take away from this is Greg Pateryn is better than all those other defensemen, so as long as we can agree with that there's no issue
Re: Chicago Off-Season Trade Block
Agreed. Pateryn = stud.Sensfanjosh wroteCOLONI mean the main point we should take away from this is Greg Pateryn is better than all those other defensemen, so as long as we can agree with that there's no issue

Sounds reasonable.Sensfanjosh wroteCOLONI mean the main point we should take away from this is Greg Pateryn is better than all those other defensemen, so as long as we can agree with that there's no issue
Re: Chicago Off-Season Trade Block
Id say a couple of dmen on that list pateryn is above have become quite overrated, actually.
Even one of my own guys - Parayko.

I thought this league would have way more action leading up to the draft. Seems there is only a handful of active GMs right now... Come on people!!
Re: Chicago Off-Season Trade Block
Half the league are casual barely active GMs, here out of habit more than want of being in the league and active.

That's really too bad.Lee wroteCOLONHalf the league are casual barely active GMs, here out of habit more than want of being in the league and active.
Maybe it's time to give some of them the old heave-ho.

In terms of what? My block is clearly listed.Matthew wroteCOLONWhat u offering?
Re: Chicago Off-Season Trade Block
Everyone will be here come draft day. Some GMs are less active in the offseason but I think half the league being casual and barely active is a stretch.Da_Hawks wroteCOLONThat's really too bad.Lee wroteCOLONHalf the league are casual barely active GMs, here out of habit more than want of being in the league and active.

Not being balls to the wall all the time is what keeps this league alive. If we had a bunch of insistent jack-offs it would drive off many of us who had been here forever. I stay because I like (and tolerate at times) the personalities here. It's not a bad thing.

We'll see trades involving the top picks in the draft as we get closer to June 1...roster moves are going to happen all summer.
And to be fair, we don't know what the salary cap will be for next year.
