No I didn't. I replied "Jesus", how does that mean being offended? I was just surprised by your reaction, being livid at me for making such offerDa_Hawks wroteCOLONKyuss, you got offended by me being offended.
I don't think anyone here disagrees with that?Handsome&FairMike wroteCOLON you guys disagree. not the end of the fucking world.
Da_Hawks wroteCOLONMik didn't even disclose the initial offer. Stalock and Guri for Georgiev and Perry was his 2nd offer.
I was fine with this.Da_Hawks wroteCOLONThe world can continue wondering.CasperX22 wroteCOLONWhat the world really wants to know is what was the offer?
Sorry Mik - you mentioned just about everyone else being talked about in the trade proposal - looked like you waived the non-disclosure agreement to me. Was only fair that I disclosed the overall picture at that point.kyuss wroteCOLONDa_Hawks wroteCOLONMik didn't even disclose the initial offer. btw, you just got Perry for a 4th, so he can't be the difference that would make my offer "very bad"
I don't think anyone disagrees that Shesty is the man going forward. However, it's clear that Georgiev is going to be traded this summer (unless Hank retires) and to a team looking for a potential starter. Either way, he retains great value as he's shown that he can take over games - he just the needs more consistency and to play the Islanders 82 games a year.Shoalzie wroteCOLONRookie goalies and goalie prospects are probably the hardest players to evaluate. If there was ever an asset to "hoard"...it's goalies. You can use them as currency or hang onto a bunch of them and hope one becomes an NHL starter.
I understand Mik's interest in Georgiev since he's got Shesterkin. If I'm Mark, hang onto Georgiev regardless of what's offered...good or bad. You don't really know who is the primary guy in New York going forward. King Henrik has one more year (at best). You need to cover your bases beyond this year.
I wouldn't say it's clear Georgiev is going to be traded. The feel good story of Lunqvist playing one more year as a Ranger is great and all, but as a hockey club does trading a 24 yo capable goalie to accommodate a feel good story make sense? Maybe it does, but I think it's closer to a coin flip then a sure thing that Georgiev is moved.Da_Hawks wroteCOLONI don't think anyone disagrees that Shesty is the man going forward. Georgiev is in need of a raise, Hank has a full NMC and Shesty will go back to Russia before he's relegated back to the AHL. Unless he can be convinced to retire, I doubt the Rags can afford to roll with 3 goalies again. Shesty will need a new contract when Hanks's expires. At that point, they can just go an get a new vet back-up or perhaps another one of their young goalies will be knocking on the door and they can platoon. Who knows. I'd bet Georgiev is moved.Malette18 wroteCOLONI wouldn't say it's clear Georgiev is going to be traded. Ya I don't disagree just no one realty knows. From what Hank said at deadline sounded like he was willing to cooperate with a trade. I'm not sure he'd want his legacy in NYR to end with exercising his NMC to force a deal that hurts the team moving forward.Da_Hawks wroteCOLONGeorgiev is in need of a raise, Hank has a full NMC and Shesty will go back to Russia before he's relegated back to the AHL. Hard to trade Hank`s 8.5 or whatever it is... cuz he`s not all that great anymore. Enough for a backup role, but certainly not at his price tag, or even 50% retained.Malette18 wroteCOLONYa I don't disagree just no one realty knows.
